Mei Lee travel van
'Turning Red' fan art - Mei Lee small travel van. This van combines traditional Chinese style, Mei's home elements (like plants and star light garland) and some Red Panda items. I used traditional Asian food trucks as references and also I took some stylized architectural elements from the original movie.
I had different «mobile room» and the «mobile store» ideas. As a result, this van is more a «shop», but definitely contains several «room» elements.
In this illustration I used a scheme of four complementary colors and their shades: orange and turquoise, pink and green. These colors represent Mei's duality, her two personalities - a modest obedient girl and an active restless red panda.
